Jim brings more than 25 years of senior care experience to Senior Relocation Advisors, LLC. Prior to founding Senior Relocation Advisors, Jim held positions with Volunteers of America, as Director of Housing Development and Management; Presbyterian Homes and Services, as Housing Administrator; and numerous positions in both long-term care and housing with Crest View Lutheran Homes.

Jim has worked with a wide variety of development projects that include federally subsidized assisted living, market rate assisted living, memory-care assisted living, skilled nursing facilities, senior apartments, and mixed use housing/commercial facilities. He has managed public housing, subsidized senior housing, senior market rate apartments, cooperative housing, entrance loan senior housing, senior assisted living, and retail/commercial property.

Jim has been highly involved with the Minnesota Health and Housing Alliance (MHHA), serving on the Housing Leadership Council, HUD work group, and as an educator at the MHHA Institute. He is also an educator with Prosource, a division of Kaplan Educational Services, providing continuing education on Senior Housing to Minnesota real estate licensees.

Jim holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from the University of Minnesota, a Minnesota real estate broker’s license, and is certified as a public housing manager by the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO).
